Learn How To Paddle Board, Then Sprint, Surf and Dance on Water!

To join our regular community and get a super cardio workout on the water, use a paddle board. Learn outfitting, launching, landing and basic strokes. Discover how to connect your whole body with the water, which brings instant glee. Standing on the board means you can move around, learn to surf waves on the Hudson River and sprint with a group of like-minded SUPers into the evening in NYC.

Graduates of Basics 3 qualify for Intermediate Tours and Trainings and Memberships.

Class Descriptions

SUP Basics 1: Learn to outfit yourself. Discover essential paddle strokes. 2.5 hours.

SUP Basics 2: Refine your body-blade connection. Learn to self-rescue. 2.5 hours.

SUP Basics 3: Grow open water awareness. Try catching bumps and swells. 2.5 hours.



  • Ages 15+
  • No swimming experience needed
  • Maximum body weight is 225 lb
  • Must be able to do 10 push-ups and 10 squats


What To Bring

  • Shoes that can get wet
  • Quick-dry athletic clothes
  • Change of clothes for after
  • Your own lock for the lockers
  • Water bottle and energy snack
