Learn how to kayak or stand-up paddle board in three 2.5 hour classes. We teach you all the essentials: how to get outfitted, maneuver on-water effectively and efficiently, rescue yourself, and navigate the open water. Get the Basics 3 Pack now, then book classes later. We teach according to American Canoe Association standards and add NYC-specific information. After finishing Kayak or SUP Basics 3, you qualify for Intermediate Tours, which are amazing group paddling adventures on NYC waters.

What To Bring

We Provide

  • Ages 15+
  • 225 lb maximum
  • Credits are valid until November 2024
  • Must be able to do 10 push-ups and 10 squats
  • Go in order: Kayak Basics 1, 2, 3 or SUP Basics 1, 2, 3
  • Take 2+ classes per week only if you do regular vigorous exercise
