Learn How to Kayak or Stand Up Paddle Board in NYC!

Learn sea kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding (SUP). We teach you the fundamentals: how to get outfitted, go straight, turn, rescue yourself, and navigate open water. Classes go in order: 1, 2, 3. Get the Basics 3 Pack now, then book classes later. Take 3 privates to learn faster or get more attention. We teach according to American Canoe Association standards with additional NYC-specific learnings.

Join our day tripping adventures around NYC. After finishing 3 lessons, you qualify for Intermediate Tours and Trainings and Memberships.



  • 225 lb maximum
  • Must be able to do 10 push-ups and 10 squats
  • Ages 15+ for Basics; Ages 7+ for Privates


  • 3 Pack doesn’t apply to Private Lessons
  • We recommend one class per week. Many peoples’ energy levels wane after one class
  • Those who drop out within 72 hours of class cannot reschedule or get credit

What To Bring

  • Shoes that can get wet
  • Quick-dry athletic clothes
  • Your own lock for the lockers
  • Water bottle and energy snack
  • Change of clothes for afterwards
