Learn to Kayak or Paddleboard in NYC

Gain skills to go faster and farther using sea kayaks or touring stand-up paddleboards. No swimming or paddling skills needed. This the foundation to reach new places, find fresh air and sunshine, and join a community of kindred spirits on the water.

After Class 3, you’ll get a Certificate of Completion. Then, unlock NYC’s best routes on our longer trips every weekend.

How it works: Get 3 class credits valid through October 2026 + 1 bonus credit. Take classes in order. Start with Class 1 even if you have previous experience.

The Versatile Paddler

The strokes and concepts for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are similar. Knowing both allows you to switch between longer kayak trips and shorter, high-intensity SUP workouts. Your free 4th credit helps you discover this versatility, or give a credit to your Plus One.
