How It Works
Start with Paddleboard Intro to learn basic strokes, or circle up on our floating yoga dock for Paddleboard Stretch & Tone. Both classes are designed to be repeated as often as you like to build comfort on the water.
Once you can glide (typically takes a few Intros or structured classes elsewhere) you’re ready for Paddleboard Skills. This class focuses on refining your stroke and ends with a Personal Best Time Trial (four laps, one mile).

Getting Started
Paddleboard Intro | 1.5 Hours
First Strokes & Balance: Learn how to carry, launch, stand up safely, steer, turn, stop, and back up. You’ll practice an efficient forward stroke using the Catch, Power, and Return technique. This is a no-pressure environment to get your bearings on the water.

Paddleboard Stretch & Tone | 1.5 Hours
Core & Balance Floating Fitness: Circle up around our floating yoga dock for a fun, no-experience-needed fitness class on safely secured boards. Wind down with a mix of yoga, core work, and balance with plenty of laughs โ surrounded by golden water at sunset.

Paddleboard Skills | 2.5 Hours
Advanced Strokes & Turns: Repeat this class to fine-tune your blade placement and body positioning for an efficient stroke. We cover advanced turns and a time trial to track your personal pace. When river currents and winds are slow, we head onto the wide-open Hudson for an Open River Session. This is a workout loop on the river, not a trip.

Once you hit a sub-17 minute mileโwoo hoo!โthree tracks open up for you: Tempo Training,ย Technique & Velocity Training, and Intermediate River Trips. These trainings and trips are shared with our kayak community, so you need to be ready to ride with them.

Essentials & Amenities
We provide all-around paddleboards, paddles, safety leashes, dry bags, and life jackets. Please wear synthetic clothing or athletic swimwear that you donโt mind getting wet. All paddlers have full access to our indoor lockers, secure bike racks, changing rooms, restrooms, and outdoor rinse station.
