What’s Included
- 45 minutes of paddle time

What To Bring
- Clothes: Gym clothes or swimsuit
- Footwear: Water shoes, sandals that won’t fall off, or old sneakers
- Extras: Full change of clothes, towel, water bottle, and lock for the lockers
👶 Bringing Kids
- Age 3–5 ride with an adult on a kayak or board, or sit between two people in a tandem kayak.
- Age 6–11 share a tandem kayak with an adult.
- Age 12–15 may ride solo with a parent or guardian on site.
- Age 16+ may ride solo without an adult present.
🐶 Bringing Dogs
- Dogs stay with their owners and on leash
- Dogs must be non-aggressive and vaccinated
- We have dog life jackets, or bring your own
- Dogs of any size are allowed as long as the combined weight with the owner is under 250 lbs

What if I want to go far away?
Rentals stay in the calm cove–but if you’re ready to paddle past the piers and explore beyond, go Skyline Kayaking or join beginner classes to work toward longer guided river trips.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes—especially on weekends. Book right here on this page. We almost always sell out and only allow walk-ups if there is space. Book online now to lock in your spot.
Is the water clean?
Yes. The Hudson River is safe for kayaking and paddle boarding. We regularly test water quality, and we only operate when it’s safe to be on the water.
What if I can’t swim?
You don’t need to! Everyone wears a coast guard-approved life jacket that keeps you floating even if you’re not moving. Plus, our staff monitors the water at all times from nearby safety boats. If you want extra reassurance, add a Mini Lesson.
Can I bring my kids or dog?
Yes! Kids 3–5 and dogs ride free with an adult. Just book whatever boat you’d like—we’ll help fit your child/dog when you arrive. If it doesn’t work, we’ll switch you to another boat, no problem. Child and dog life jackets provided.
