Discover lost eras of Lower Manhattan from Native American settlements to the oldest surviving pier in NYC. We start with an hour presentation at the Pier 84 Boathouse. Then, we hit the water and paddle downtown alongside Battery Park City to Pier A and back. Get a workout and explore the history of the West Village, TriBeCa, and The Battery. There will be snack time on the water but no stops on land. We cover 9 miles round trip.
This is an advanced-level guided trip for sea kayakers and paddleboarders.
To qualify, start with our class series or pass our screening; then, once you’ve completed 4 intermediate trips this season, you’re ready for this trip. A Membership offers deep discounts on every step of that journey.
