River Trip Guide

Responsibilities:

  • Lead kayak and SUP trips from the Pier 84 Boathouse
  • Teach visitors the essentials of paddling and water safety
  • Check-in, outfit, launch and land paddlers
  • Deliver a fun experience while adapting to tidal currents, weather, and marine traffic
  • Set up and care for boats and gear

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • On-water guiding experience
  • CPR and First Aid certs or able to attain them
  • ACA or BCU kayaking or paddle boarding certs or able to attain then
  • Can move boats and spend hours outside

Required Availability: Part-time including weekends

Pay: Start at $18 per hour plus tips and all activities for you and your family for free


Visitor Experience Associate

Responsibilities:

  • Answer visitor inquiries by in-person discussion, email, chat, phone
  • Check-in, outfit, launch and land paddlers
  • Present how to use the paddle and boat
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the boathouse and gear
  • Carry kayaks and SUPs between the dock and boathouse

Required:

  • Empathy and calmness in a fast-paced place
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
  • Able to lift 30 pounds
  • Experience in services, sales, hospitality or fitness
  • Experience in kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, rowing, swimming or dancing

Required Availability: Part-time including weekends until mid September

Pay: Start at $15 per hour plus tips and all activities for you and your family for free
