Kayak the Hudson River to a Hidden Gem in Yonkers
Discover one of the Hudson River’s most surprising destinations—downtown Yonkers. On this full-day kayak or SUP tour, we paddle from Manhattan to the revitalized Yonkers waterfront, home to public art, outdoor cafés, and a rare piece of urban ecological history.
At Van der Donck Park, we visit the daylighted Sawmill River—once buried under concrete and now restored as a vibrant stream flowing past native grasses, fish pools, and native stonework. It’s a powerful example of what city waterways can become.
This trip blends high-performance athletic paddling, riverside exploration, and a glimpse into emerging urban waterfront design.
