Efficiency through Tidal Timing
We time every trip to the Tide Tables so the current acts as a moving conveyor belt. While our base speed is 4mph, the tidal assist can often push our actual velocity to 8mph. We time our launches so the water helps us the entire time.
Trip Calendar
🟢 Beginner Trips | Casual Fun & Private Groups
Enjoy big skyline views from a stable sit-on-top kayak. No skills or classes needed.
🟦 Intermediate Trips | Meet up and Paddle Out
These trips use sea kayaks and paddle boards in real conditions–wind, waves, and crossings. Sit-on-top kayaking, including our beginner trips, does not qualify anyone for these trips.
Prerequisite: Completion of Classes 1–2–3 or pass our screening.
Listed in order of difficulty.
â—† Advanced Trips | Go Farther, Faster
Ready to put your skills to the test? These trips take you across open water, around islands, under bridges, and deep into our community. Expect stronger currents, variable winds, and a real chance to apply what you’ve learned.
Prerequisite: Minimum of 4 intermediate trips this season or pass our screening. Prior experience from previous years does not qualify on its own. These trips are designed for active paddlers currently in paddle shape and confident in sea kayaks or touring paddle boards.
Listed in order of difficulty.
◆◆ Expert Trips | the Ultimate Challenges
Push your limits with the toughest trips we offer. Expect long hours on the water, shifting weather, and tight teamwork. Routes may include big open crossings, complex currents, and landmark destinations few ever reach.
Prerequisite: Minimum of 3 advanced trips this season or pass our screening. Prior experience from previous seasons does not qualify on its own. These trips are designed for paddlers currently operating at a high level with endurance, focus, and commitment.
